**Disclaimer**

MS Mom of the Week is a fun way for us to get to know the Mommysavers members. Newbies to the board as well as regulars are welcome to participate. The Mom of the Week is randomly selected a week in advance of her being featured. I do this so I can contact you, let you know your feature date, and arrange to receive a picture from you to include with the survey. Having a picture included is so we can make it a little more personal and put a name to a face. This is optional of course, as are all the questions being asked. If I don’t hear back from you before your “feature” date, I will randomly select the next person and then get back to you the following week. If you would like to participate please PM Christy_K_ and we will get you signed up.

Let’s get started!!!

What is your first name? Kim

What are your kids’ names?
My oldest is Hunter he will be 9 in July & Mikayla is 5 1/2.

Were you ready for motherhood?
Absolutely. I was the oldest of 4 kids and started babysitting at the age of 11. I always knew that I was going to be a mom someday.

Have you ever met someone who has completely inspired you to be a better person? Can you tell us about that relationship and how it has affected you?
I think that person would be my Grandmother. She will be 90 this year and she is hard working women to this day. She a women that I have always wanted to be like. Very creative, frugal, healthy, down to earth heart of gold. I have always looked up to her.

Do you have any nervous habits? What are they?
I don't know if it is a nervous habit. But I have always bouncing my legs when sitting. I even sometime do it in my sleep at time I have been told. (It has always come in handy when there is a fuzzy baby)

Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him?
I did. There was a couple that they didn't like. and boy am I glad I didn't stay with them...

What do you want your kids to remember the most about you?
How much I loved them.

What did you learn the most from your mother?
My mom was also a SAHM as I was growing up, and she always put us kids first. She was the greatest mom and to this day we are truely great friends. And I am hoping that I can be that way with my children.

How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? What is your best money saving tip?
I try to use them everytime I do my shopping. I am generally don't buy something unless it is on sale or I have a coupon for it. Something I have learned is plan ahead if you can. Always use what you have, try your hardest not to waste a thing.

How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here?
I learned about mommysavers years ago. Kim D. was on a report on a local t.v. station(in MN) and I checked it out ASAp. And I have been here ever since. I honestly don't remember when that truely was. I have been through alot of changes and different DB's with Mommysavers. So I am an oldie...... a I referred my sister a few years back, but I don't think she gets on her that much anymore. But than again she really doesn't have to because I update all the time with something I have read.

Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice? I have made a few good friends from being on here. We have talked on the phone and mailed stuff to each other. But have never met. I have gotten so much info and support from so many it is hard to pin point just one.

Have you ever met a mommysaver?
Nope but have tried to but schedules never seem to match up. But I will someday

What is the most romantic thing your dh ever did for you?
My dh and I have been together for many years. We were high school friends first before dating. And he isn't the most romantic guy in the world. But just taking my out and treating my like the QUEEN for the night is something I love. One night we went out to dinner, talking and he paused looking at me, his eyes started to tear-up. And all he could say is "GOD I LOVE YOU". I here is all the time but there was just something about the way he said and looked at me it was different.

Tell us five things you like about yourself.
a great friend
Loving person
Honest
Trustworthy
And the best SUPERMOM my kids can ever have.

What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? Can you show us a picture of your proudest piece of work?
I love making cards, scrapbooking, rubber stamping. My SIL was a rubberstamping Demo and she got me started years ago. I would rate myself my worst critic, I always make things and never ever any happy with that final project, even though people love them.

How many frogs did you kiss before you found Mr. Right? Was he worth the wait?
6 frogs were kisses. And I finally I opened my eyes and realized that Mr. Right was right under my nose the whole time. Dh and I were in grade schoo/high school for 7 years. and were truely friends before we had that first kiss. I dated one of his friends and he dated one of mine. and that is how our journey started 22 years ago when I first meet him. We have been together for 15 years and married for 12 of those years.

What is your favorite genre of music? Who is your favorite group? Have you ever seen them in concert?
I have listened to alot of different types of music but the one that has always pulled my bakc in is Country. I love Toby Keith, Garth Brooks. and I have only seen Garth in Concert twice. I would love to Toby anyday.

List three things you have on your Life List; things you would like to accomplish before you leave this world:
1) I want to be able to take that big vacation with my family and not have to worry where it is going to be and how much it is going to cost.
2)I want to become a Grandmother like the one I have.
3)Oh and I have always wanted to go Skydiving.

Which room in your house best reflects your personality? I think that it would be my Kitchen. It is 100% down home country USA.

What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose?
I would like to think that they will be great adults that respect others and know what is important in live. I can see my DS following my brothers footsteps and becoming a Police Officer and my DD I think will be some kind of a Boss. Not sure what it will be, but she really has a good head on her shoulders, and loves to be in Control.

Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind or quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C’mon tell us!!!!)
I don't think so. Maybe that I am an excellant marksman, I know have to throw something on target and make it stick. I have competed in compitions and won 1st place. Kind of hard to explain the little hidden hobby I have.

Are there words you live by? What are they?
Live life to it fullest. Never put anything off cuz you never know what is going to happen. Live like there is no tomorrow.
