I am a huge fan of Habitat for Humanity. I organized & built on a trip to Portugal 2 years ago, then organized a trip to Hungary last year (but got pregnant and didn't go). This year our group is headed to Poland... but my involvement is pretty limited to helping with fundraising. In the future, when ds (and any future siblings) are older, I'd love to get back into building with them. It's such a fantastic organization, I just wish they built in Germany so that I could get involved on a single-day basis rather than having to commit to 2 weeks. Good luck getting involved with them!!! It'll certainly be worth it!
