MS Mom of the Week is a fun way for us to get to know the Mommysavers members. Newbies to the board as well as regulars are welcome to participate. The Mom of the Week is randomly selected a week in advance of her being featured. I do this so I can contact you, let you know your feature date, and arrange to receive a picture from you to include with the survey. Having a picture included is so we can make it a little more personal and put a name to a face. This is optional of course, as are all the questions being asked. What are your kids’ names? Jocelyn (13), Hannah (8), Kaitlin (6)
Were you ready for motherhood? Not really, I was young & naive.
Have you ever met someone who has completely inspired you to be a better person? Can you tell us about that relationship and how it has affected you? My husband. He had a pretty rough life growing up. We are complete opposites in almost every way, but we have an amazing connection. He has no fear when it comes to conquering things in life.
Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him? My parents were very strict about dating. My dad was a drill sergeant in the army and any guy that wanted to take me out had to ask my dad first! So, if they didn't like him, I wasn't allowed to date him.
What do you want your kids to remember the most about you? That I loved them unconditionally.
What did you learn the most from your mother? How to be frugal
How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? What is your best money saving tip? I have gotten out of the habit of using coupons. I do shop the clearance racks in every store I go to and never pay full price.
How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here? I just happened to run across it one day a really long time ago and I have referred people here.
Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice? There’s not one particular person or one piece of advice, but I love it that I can come here and get honest answers!
Have you ever met a mommysaver? No, but I'd love to.
What is the most romantic thing your dh ever did for you? Surprised me on my 30th birthday with a huge surprise party at a restaurant and then had arranged for my family to take care of our then 2 girls and took me away for the weekend!

What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? I really enjoy snow skiing. My husband had a business trip and was going to be gone on my birthday, so his company ended up paying for both of us to fly out the weekend before, so we learned to snow ski together. If we could move to Colorado , we would do it in a heartbeat.
How many frogs did you kiss before you found Mr. Right? Was he worth the wait? Probably 3 and definitely worth the wait!
What is your favorite genre of music? Who is your favorite group? Have you ever seen them in concert? I really like all kinds of music. My favorite singer right now is Jeremy Camp. I am definitely going to see him next time he is in my area.

Which room in your house best reflects your personality? My living room
What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose? Jocelyn is very smart and a great leader. She will definitely be an executive of a company or the President of her own company. Hannah will either be a veterinarian or have a horse ranch where she trains horses. Kaitlin will probably be a teacher.
Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind or quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C’mon tell us!!!!) I am very messy!
Are there words you live by? What are they? Attitude determines the altitude of life!
