Thank you, I feel quite ordinary until I hear other people talk about their childhoods.
As for my cheekbones I'm not sure where they came from. my mother is Italian, my father (provided he is my real father) is/was? German.
My brother is a mixed bag, he will be doing great for a while and then for what ever reason he self destructs. He has a wife and a daughter and 2 step sons who he has raised as his own since they were toddlers. Over the years he has struggled with a drinking problem and a drug problem. I thought he was finally getting his life on track until he got his 3rd DUI and was sent to jail. Deep down he is a good guy, he suffers from depression and still battles his anger management demons. He is quite ashamed of his latest visit to jail, his kids are old enough to know whats going on. I am hoping it motivates him to straighten up and be a positive role model.
Was it just the 2 of us? Not always. I adopted him and raised him alone for a year. I was married 18 months after the adoption, my husband adopted him as well. Now that we are divorced they don't speak often but my ex is friendly when my brother calls or stops by to see him. My kids still refer to him as their brother, and now that he is an adult I refer to him as my brother as well... it makes for interesting conversation for people who do not know the history
Me amazing?? nahhh I feel that people either rise to the occasion or get knocked over by it. You do what you have to and try not to dwell on it.
