What is your first name? Tricia
What are your kids’ names? Collin who is 5 and starts Kindergarten on Wednesday and Aaron who is 3.
Were you ready for motherhood? Yes, I was ready. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage and I was devastated. Luckily, I became pregnant shortly after and my first son was born 9 months later!
Have you ever met someone who has completely inspired you to be a better person? Can you tell us about that relationship and how it has affected you? I once had a co-worker named Sherri that was the most sincere, kindest person I had ever met. She was an awesome mom that raised 2 great boys. Sometimes in certain situations I ask myself "How would Sherri handle this."
Do you have any nervous habits? What are they? I fidget my foot.
Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him? When I was 17 I dated an older guy behind my parents back (so I thought - they knew). My mom hated him and once when he called the house for me when I wasn't home she told him to leave me alone and not call again. Were they right about him? Yes!
What do you want your kids to remember the most about you? I want my sons to remember that I loved them more than anything because I told them often and showed affection towards them . I also want them to remember that I was a fun (sometimes goofy) mom that made them laugh.
How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here? I was a member of another message board and the moderator made a post about voting for that message board in a contest. So I went to the website to vote and Mommysavers was one of the top 10 and the name caught my eye so I clicked on the link and I've been hooked ever since.
Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice? I have learned so much on this board in terms of parenting, money saving, recipes etc.
Have you ever met a mommysaver? No, but would like to someday!
What is the most romantic thing your dh ever did for you? I love my husband dearly, however he is not romantic. But he is sincere and honest and I find that most endearing!
What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? Can you show us a picture of your proudest piece of work? I do enjoy scrapbooking quite a bit but never seem to have the time. Needless to say, I've very behind on my sons scrapbooks!
What is your favorite genre of music? Who is your favorite group? Have you ever seen them in concert? Actually I listen to all kinds of music - just depends on my mood at the time. I do enjoy Toby Keith quite a bit and have seen him in concert 4 times and met him once in August 2005.
What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose? It's too soon to say but if I had to judge by what they like now, my oldest would probably be a teacher and my youngest would probably be a firefighter.
Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind or quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C’mon tell us!!!!) I don't like feet! Those Lamisil commercials on tv about make me sick to my stomach!
Are there words you live by? What are they? The one I seem to use a lot is "Treat people as you want to be treated."
