What is your first name? Stacia pronounced Stay-sha not staci!
What are your kids’ names? Julia (4 today, Sept. 11), Jared (2), Jenna (5 months)
Were you ready for motherhood? No not really, but I adapt quickly to change! My dh and I had only been married 5 months and were living in South Korea when I got pregnant with Julia. I moved back to states and luckily the Army sent him home a couple days before she was born. Jared and Jenna were also surprises, but we take what we get! They are all loved and spoiled, but never rotten, well ok-jared is!
Have you ever met someone who has completely inspired you to be a better person? Can you tell us about that relationship and how it has affected you? That is a hard question. There have been so many people at different phases of my live that have made impacts upon my character. Right now, my aunt is a big influence on me because I think she is a wonderful mother and juggles everything so well and always has.
Do you have any nervous habits? What are they? Umm, I fidget with my finger nails or hair.
Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him? HAHA they never knew about most of them. They hated those they knew about and they were always right. They love my dh.
What do you want your kids to remember the most about you? Of course I want them to remember how much I love them, how important they each are to me and the special things I do with them individually on a daily basis to make them feel loved.
What did you learn the most from your mother? How not to act
How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? What is your best money saving tip? My dh calls me the coupon queen, I have coupons for everything. However I do use less now that I shop at Costco. Money saving tips: shop clearance sales at the end of the season for next years clothes. Buy, post wanted ads for what you need and sell what you don’t on your cities craigslist.org.
How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here? I accidentally stumbled upon it searching for something else back in 2002. A popup came up asking if I wanted to sign up for their free newsletter and I did. I have told so many other moms about ms, but I don’t think they are on, if so they are part of our hundreds of lurkers. I decided I’m going to stop referring people b/c if they join how am I going to vent about them? LOL
Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice? Oh my, there are way too many! I do quote Jennifer’s signature about cleaning/shoveling snow to my dh a lot! And I am always amazed at Kemtee’s articulate answers and thoughts, she reminds me of me before I had kids, now I have to rush responses and get off the computer!
Have you ever met a mommysaver? No, but I will one day soon!
What is the most romantic thing you dh ever did for you? He’s not into big romantic gestures but he’s pretty good at small things, which I believe are more important anyway. The other day I overheard him and Julia talking, the Kershaw song “She don’t know she’s beautiful” was on and he told her this song is about mommy.
Tell us five things you like about yourself. My eyes, heart, personality, honesty (which gets me into trouble sometimes I’m too honest with people), and determination.
What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? Can you show us a picture of your proudest piece of work? This board is my hobby! I don’t have time for anything else, I’ve got three kids 4 and under! I breastfeed, that takes up more time than any hobby could, but I don’t think you want to see a pic of that!

I started a preschool homeschooling website last year but haven’t had time to finish it since Jenna was born. I read and shop a lot!
How many frogs did you kiss before you found Mr. Right? Was he worth the wait? Two frogs, around a dozen tadpoles. I got married at 20, so I didn’t have to wait long! Most days I’ll say he’s worth it.
What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose? Julia is just like me personality and all; she wants to be a Vet or a Pediatrician. I think she’d be a great lawyer, she’s great at negotiating. Jared is just like my dh, too young to say what he’d be but right now he loves firefighters and police men.
Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind of quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C’mon tell us!!!!)
I’m very sarcastic and quick witted, but I have to watch my responses on the board b/c I don’t want anyone to take me the wrong way and get offended when I was just joking about something. Something you would never guess about me-I was a disabled army veteran at the age of 20! (I’m not really disabled but a bad back and knee injury got me out of the Army-thank god!)
Are there words you live by? What are they?
There are many quotes by Eleanor Roosevelt (Jenna’s middle name is Eleanor after her) that I cherish, here are a few.
~Do what you feel in your heart to be right — for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do, and damned if you don't.
~Happiness is not a goal, it is a by-product.
~No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
~A woman is like a teabag— only in hot water do you realize how strong she is.
~The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
~One's philosophy is not best expressed in words; it is expressed in the choices one makes. In the long run, we shape our lives and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And, the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.
