MS Mom of the Week is a fun way for us to get to know the Mommysavers members. The Mom of the Week is randomly selected a week in advance of her being featured. I do this so I can contact you, let you know your feature date, and arrange to receive from you a picture of yourself and/or you and your kids to include with the survey. Having a picture included with the survey is so we can make it a little more personal and put a name to a face. This is optional of course, as are all the questions being asked. If I don’t hear back from you before your “feature” date, I will randomly select the next person and then get back to you the next round. Mom of the Week will be featured on Monday mornings. Please keep in mind you are free to answer as many or as few of the questions as you want. This entire thing is on a voluntary basis. Do you have any nervous habits? What are they? I tend to jiggle my foot and I tend to talk (babble)

Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him? Yes, and I married him! No, she wasn’t right. I have five sisters, and we have a saying that if mom doesn’t like him, then he’s a good one. It’s the ones she likes that you have to watch out for!

What do you want your kids to remember the most about you? How I was always there for them, and helped them in every way that I could, and loved them!

What did you learn the most from your mother? How to find the best deal and to look for the bargains in any store. How to spend the money I made wisely.

How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? What is your best money saving tip? I use about 8 to 10 a month. I love it when something is in the marked down basket and I have a coupon for it, and they let me use it! I can get free things that way!

How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here? I think it was refered to on another site I was on and came here out of curiosity, lurked for awhile, and loved it!

Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice? I learn so much every time I come here and read. I can really relate to topics of teens and school, and learn tips all the time. I can’t pick out just one member, there are so many great members here!

Have you ever met a mommysaver? No, but I would love to!

What is the most romantic thing your dh ever did for you? Once I was sick in bed and he made me breakfast and brought it in to me on a tray. Now, this is a man that REALLY can’t cook and hates to do it, so it was so sweet that he tried for me, even though I couldn’t eat it!

Tell us five things you like about yourself. I’m a good listener, I am reliable, I like to take care of my family, I remember birthdays and anniversarys, I am loyal to friends and family.

What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? Can you show us a picture of your proudest piece of work? My hobby is reading. My mom subscribed to readers digest when I was growing up, and I started reading it cover to cover when I was in second grade. I love to read and will read almost anything, in fact I go nuts if I don’t have something to read!

How many frogs did you kiss before you found Mr. Right? Was he worth the wait? Just one or two. He was definitely worth the wait!!!

What is your favorite genre of music? Who is your favorite group? Have you ever seen them in concert? I love 80’s rock and some country. My favorite group would have to be STYX. I have not been to any concerts, but would love to one day.

What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose? I think my kids will grow up to be responsible, hard working citizens. Archie wants to go into welding, and Kelly wants to work with animals, maybe wild cats (lions, tigers, etc.) or maybe a vet.

Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind or quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C’mon tell us!!!!) I can’t stand to bite cloth, any type. It just makes my skin crawl, I don’t know why, but to bite down on cloth just gives me the willies!
