What is your first name? Stacey

What are your kids’ names? Bryan, Brooke and Ashlyn

Were you ready for motherhood?
Yes and No, I always wanted to be a mother, but I was young and learned at lot as I went along.

Have you ever met someone who has completely inspired you to be a better person? Can you tell us about that relationship and how it has affected you?
My husband. He is wonderful and somehow always (or most of the time) manages to say the right things at the right time to lift my spirits and make me feel special, I am very blessed to have him in my life.

Do you have any nervous habits? What are they?
Yes, cracking my knuckles, although now I pretty much do it all the time whether I am nervous or not, bad habit I suppose.

Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him?
Nope, not really, they liked both of the guys I brought home....I married the second one (my first husband). And my husband now, well I didn't really bring him home, but they love him very much, he was the first guy to ask my Dad (between my sister and myself) for my hand in marriage, so he sits very highly with my Dad!!

What do you want your kids to remember the most about you?
That I loved them, and I always did what I thought was best for them, even if it meant change and adapting to new surroundings.

How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? What is your best money saving tip?
Not many actually, we just don't buy things if we don't need them, and are frugal in other ways. We look for the buy one get one free deals at the grocery store.

How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here?
I did a google search for stay at home mom's, and mommysavers was the first site to come up. And here I am. I have talked about it to friends and my sister but no one has signed up, that I know of...

Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice?
Lots of people on here have helped me, Kellynkay and 3lynns for starters, I don’t know what I would do without them sometimes!! Of course all of the girls in the Scrapbook forum are great and it is so nice to be able to bounce ideas off of them, there are too many to list!! Some that are no longer here, Abbysmommy and Bonna9182 (is that the correct numbers?), some that are still here, Happymom, Claire, 2bearsmom (even though we have lost touch slightly), JeannetteDavis (has inspired me to become a teacher and has even helped with some of my homework), Aliadam (she is good at getting me to see things from a different perspective), and so many more, this is getting long enough!!

Have you ever met a mommysaver?
YES, Kim, Happymom, Kellynkay, 3Lynns, and JeanetteDavis. I had a great time with each and every one of them.

What is the most romantic thing your dh ever did for you?
That would be one Christmas while we were dating and still living four hours apart. We met at a hotel half way for Christmas and he arrived before I got there, and had Christmas lights all strung up around the room and a tiny Christmas tree set up in the corner. It was very sweet!

Tell us five things you like about yourself.

1) My eyes

2) My hair

3) My ability to adapt to new surroundings (may take a while but I adapt eventually) and not be afraid of change

4) My creativity

5) My heart ~ I tend to do a lot for my closest friends without question, my husband calls me intense and to know me is to love me, but you have to get to know me first!

What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? Can you show us a picture of your proudest piece of work?
Scrapbooking!! Mommysavers got me started, I would rate myself a 7 on a scale of one to 10, and here is one of my favorite pages:

And on of my favorite cards:

How many frogs did you kiss before you found Mr. Right? Was he worth the wait? Oh about 4 or 5, not many, and YES he was so worth the wait, we had to go through a lot to get to where we are and the song "God Blessed the Broken Road" describes our relationship a LOT!

What is your favorite genre of music? Who is your favorite group? Have you ever seen them in concert?
I guess Country, but I love ALL music, I am a big fan of Fergie right now, but my favorite group is Rascal Flatts and yes I have seen them in concert!! GREAT show!!

List three things you have on your Life List; things you would like to accomplish before you leave this world

Visit Italy

Visit Austrailia

Visit all of the MLB baseball parks!

Which room in your house best reflects your personality?
I guess my scrap room, although it is not finished yet.

What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose?
Oh I don't know, whatever they want to be, Bryan , maybe something in the sports field, playing a sport or being a trainer of some sort. Brooke, something in the creative field, artist or something. Ashlyn, something that requires complete independence, that girl has her mind set on what SHE wants to do!

Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind or quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C’mon tell us!!!!)
Ummmm....I am pretty much an open book, how about to this day, while driving when I see the sparkle of my diamond around the car (you know what I mean) I still move my hand around and admire the beautiful ring that my DH gave me and think back to how he proposed and it makes me smile.

Are there words you live by? What are they?
Well, as you all know, I am a HUGE quote fanatic, (which gets me into trouble sometimes, Haha) and some of my favorites that I have come across are these:

"Never explain--your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe you anyway." ~ Elbert Hubbard

“Do what you know and perception is converted into character.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

**Disclaimer**

MS Mom of the Week is a fun way for us to get to know the Mommysavers members. Newbies to the board as well as regulars are welcome to participate. The Mom of the Week is randomly selected a week in advance of her being featured. I do this so I can contact you, let you know your feature date, and arrange to receive a picture from you to include with the survey. Having a picture included is so we can make it a little more personal and put a name to a face. This is optional of course, as are all the questions being asked. If I don’t hear back from you before your “feature” date, I will randomly select the next person and then get back to you the following week. If you would like to participate please PM doozer and we will get you signed up

Thanks Girls!! Of Course I left the most important Mommysaver off the list of Mom's that I have met......KIM!!!!!! I had a great time with her, and it was fun dragging her around downtown Tampa!! Kim just don't tell them about the "dive" I tried taking you in for sandwiches

Tanya, thanks, and we did have a good time in the book forum didn't we!!

ETA: Christy added Kim to the list above (thanks Christy)!!

Congrats on MOTW Stacey! And thanks for the mention Now I know how people feel when they get the Author mention in a book

I know exactly what you mean about the "diamond sparkle"... I do it too. And funny enough if I had to say who my fav. music group is...I'd choose Rascall Flatts too (and yes they are AWESOME in concert).

Very, very sweet story about you and your DH that Christmas (where is that awwww icon when I need it?!)
