Have you ever done a Beth Moore Bible study? Those are her words of wisdom, too. Nice to learn more about you!!

I liked your story about your MIL. We have a lot of posts on here about women at odds with their MILs. It's nice to read a positive MIL post for a change.

Thanks. It took alot of opening my heart and letting her in to work too.cause I was fighting it all the way.

Whew!I was hoping I wasn't the only one that is a worry wart about it.I grew up in the country and my parents always had there doors unlocked and you NEVER locked them or you got in trouble.I always was scared laying in bed thinking about the doors not being locked.Maybe that is what makes me do it now?

Thanks for all the nice replies ladies.

It was hard on typing out some of the stuff.I did not want to sound like a weirdo or saying I could not stand my MIL sound bad.You don't know how many times I backspaced and then typed the same thing out again.LOL.I just hurried up and typed it and sent it to Christy before I could change my Mind on things. It is great to get out some stuff you normally would not tell people about your self.

I check my front door locks (all 3 of them!) before I go to bed too - sometimes I even have to get out of bed to check if I forgot to do it before I go to bed.

My husband also asked my father for his permission to marry me (my brother-in-law did for my sister too). It's a custom that definitely isn't dead in my family! I think it's a sign of respect and I know my dad really appreciated it.

I have been Rayans_Mom10's (aka Maleesa) best friend (and she being mine) for over 21 years . She is an AWESOME friend and mother, and I love her very much! She has been such a help to me with everything in my life. I thank God every day that he put her in my life.
