What is your first name? Amber

What are your kids' names? Hope

Were you ready for motherhood? YES!!!!

Have you ever met someone who has completely inspired you to be a better person? Can you tell us about that relationship and how it has affected you? My father. I never used to have a very good relationship with my dad until he came to know the Lord. Now I can talk to him about practically anything. He has inspired me to be a more loving and forgiving person.

Do you have any nervous habits? What are they?
I don't know if I would say it's a nervous habit, but I do have a habit of bouncing my legs when I am at the computer or something.

Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him?
Of course I have. Of course they were.

What do you want your kids to remember the most about you?
That I was a kind and generous person who tried to lived her life for Jesus Christ.

What did you learn the most from your mother?
To stand up for what you believe in, and to be kind to everyone. You never know when they might need a kind word.

How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? What is your best money saving tip?
I would say about 5-10 per 2 weeks. I leave the lights off in my house and just open the blinds.

How did you find Mommysavers? Have you referred anyone here? Were you referred here?
I actually found this site by doing an internet search for "money saving tips for stay at home moms".

Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice? I don't think I have a paticular senario, but cookie2 seems to always have very good, practical advise.

Have you ever met a mommysaver? No.

What is the most romantic thing your dh ever did for you?
I would have to say this past valentine's day. Dh is not a card guy at all. So when he got me a card from my dd (18mts old) that said when I grow up I wanna be just like you. It melted my heart. He is so sweet.

Tell us five things you like about yourself.
I'm honest, kind, supportive, caring/loving, good conversationalist.

What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? Can you show us a picture of your proudest piece of work? Scrapbooking. I started at a baby shower.....we made scrapbook pages instead of playing games. I would say I'm pretty good.

How many frogs did you kiss before you found Mr. Right? Was he worth the wait?
Well I was 17 when I met dh, so I don't really remember how many frogs there were before. Yes he was worth the wait (since I didn't have to wait that long).

What is your favorite genre of music? Who is your favorite group? Have you ever seen them in concert?
I love country, but have been listening to more christian music latley. I would say my favorite country group is Brooks and Dunn. Yes I saw them in concert and it was awesome. I would say my favorite christian group is either Casting Crowns or Chris Tomlin, no I haven't seen either one in concert, but I would love to.

List three things you have on your Life List; things you would like to accomplish before you leave this world
I would like to go on a cruise, travel around the US in a motor home, visit a foreign country.

Which room in your house best reflects your personality?
I guess my living room, since it's practically the only room in the house that is finished (we're remodeling and all the other rooms have wallpaper from the 60s and such).

What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose?
It's hard to say since she's only 18mts. She seems pretty serious all the time and really studies things, maybe a scientist or a lawyer.....who knows. I'll love her just the same no matter what she grows up to be.

Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind of quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C'mon tell us!!!!)
I have been stuck on this question forever. I hate brushing my hair. It is so long and thick that I just leave it up in a bun or 1/2 ponytail all the time w/o brushing it.

Are there words you live by? What are they?
God never gives you more than you can handle & The light at the end of the tunnel is not a train.

**Disclaimer**

MS Mom of the Week is a fun way for us to get to know the Mommysavers members. Newbies to the board as well as regulars are welcome to participate. The Mom of the Week is randomly selected a week in advance of her being featured. I do this so I can contact you, let you know your feature date, and arrange to receive a picture from you to include with the survey. Having a picture included is so we can make it a little more personal and put a name to a face. This is optional of course, as are all the questions being asked. If I don’t hear back from you before your “feature” date, I will randomly select the next person and then get back to you the following week. If you would like to participate please PM Doozer and we will get you signed up

Thank you for sharing with us! I have seen Brooks and Dunn in concert, too, at a county fair, and they were so full of energy and really talented musicians! It was a fun concert. Have a great week!
