What does your user name mean? It is the first part of my oldest daughter's name and the first part of my stepson's name
Out of all the things the members here have offered in terms of advice, support, counsel and criticism, what have you personally benefited from? And do you remember specifically who the member was that offered that advice? I always love all of the money saving advice on here, and I really enjoy the threads about frugal meals.
How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? I use approx. $20 in coupons on most shopping trips.
What was your most recent "bargain"? I got my daughter a nice Old Navy winter coat at a garage sale for $5. Also, I don't know if this is considered a bargain, but a wonderful lady on Freecycle posted that she had children's clothes and she ended up giving me all of my daughter's wardrobe for school! Her daughter had outgrown everything and there were like 3 giant bags of almost new clothes, shoes, and boots.
What have you done to save money this week? Did most of of grocery shopping at Aldi. Also went to Meijer and spent $30 on groceries and saved $20 with coupons! I had a ton of items and the lady behind me in line was impressed!
What do you consider a way of life that others think is a crazy way to save? Gargage sale shopping...most of my friends just aren't into it.
What is your favorite store in which to find bargains? Target
What is the best deal you ever found (even if it wasn’t at your favorite store)? Getting things free or close to it with coupons...at Target recently I paid 99 cents for Luvs diapers by combining a manufacturers coupons and a Target coupon!
What is your best money saving tip? I use coupons regularly and I shop garage sales and thrift stores for great deals!
What is your favorite frugal meal? Pulled pork sandwiches in the crockpot...we cook the pork all day and then serve on buns with bbq sauce and coleslaw. It usually feeds us for 3 days for around $10!
Do you enter contests? If so, what is the best prize you’ve ever won? I always enter, but never win
If money were no object, what 3 things would you buy yourself or your family? Snowmobiles to enjoy in the winter, a cottage in northern Michigan, and a brand new mini van!
If you had $10 to spend on yourself (you and you alone) what would you buy? Some new nailpolish and make-up
