This is some background about me and my store:
My name is LeAnn Kitchen and I am the mother of two wonderful daugthers
and wife to my best friend. When I got pregnant with our youngest, I began
to research cloth diapering. I always hated the feeling of throwing a
disposable diaper in the garbage and knew there had to be a better way for
us. I decided to start using cloth diapers on my then 18 month old as a
type of test run before the new baby was due. I ordered prefolds, covers,
and few pocket diapers online to get started. I found cloth diapering to be
easier and more hassle-free than expected. I immediately began an online
registry for cloth diapers and accessories for the new baby. Well, my
youngest is now a year old and I am still finding cloth diapering a good fit
for our family. I enjoy discussing its many pros with my mom friends and am
proud to show off the cute diapers.
After moving to Troy, IL in the summer of 2009, I quickly realized the need
for a cloth diapering and natural parenting store in the St. Louis Metro-East
area. I started Giggle Britches in the hopes to bring products, education,
and support for parents in the Metro-East area seeking a more natural way
of parenting. The main focus is selling a variety of cloth diapers and to
provide customers with the opportunity to see, touch, and compare cloth
diapers in person before they purchase.
