I've done a bunch, but I am SOOOO not a sales person. I've done Partylite, I loved it. the products were fantastic, Iloved the candles. BUT, if I didnt' meet a certain $$ each month, my upline was up my butt forever. Then I tried Tupperware, thinking, heck, this stuff sells itself! BUT, its expensive, and most of the people I know were tupperwared out. LOL

I never thought that I would do a home based business, then one of my friends talked me into selling**wickless candles**. I have sold it for 6 months now and love it! I honestly went into it with the mind set that hey, a couple hundred of dollars a month would be awesome. But just in 6 months I have by far exceeded my expectations. The company it's self is so helpful, they give you everything you need to get going and the product truly sells itself. And the best part is its completely safe to have around my kids!

I did Tupperware for a while and did not do too god with it on dh side it didnt help that my MIL would make a big deal how Costly the product was and how
She would use her butter tubs etc!!
The reason I sold anything was from my mom and a friend
they were my biggest supporters

I tried Discovery Toys, I didn't have any kids at the time and didn't really know anybody that did so it didn't go well, then there was amway- don't get me started, Mary Kay-my upline was pushing me to sell but really didn't train me or try to work with me a lot and it was just too expensive for the area that I live in, then Avon- let's just say I bombed and basically all I got from the lady that "recruited" me was "Avon sells itsself".
Well, it took a while and I discovered the hard way that unless I have someone to hold my hand through the process, I STINK at sales.

I did PartyLite for a couple years - but I wasn't so good at the sales. I gave my discount to everyone and wasn't very pushy. The same circles of people had parties, so I wasn't gaining new customers. Once I got pregnant with DS - I quit. I do still love the products though.

I was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for about 5 years. I really liked it for those years, but when it turned into a chore to sell, then I was done. I didn't want to beg people to buy something.

I'm with lia sophia jewelry. I have been selling for 2 1/2 years. I love it all!
We get 30%-40% commision, 70% discount, no inventory, low start up cost $149 for over $1000 worth of jewelry then supplies, easy to advertise, 73% of the catalog is below $50, no renewal fees, company training online, training with upline[me] or through email/phone.
Sell part time or full time.
When I started it was only to make a couple hundred dollars a month, wasn't pushed by my manger. Then I saw the potential and decided I wanted more. I have 20+ girls on my team and some do 1 show a month and others 4-6 a month. They are all a bunch of gems!!!
The best part is I always have a beautiful piece of jewelry to wear!!

I tried Pampered Chef. I loved the products (still do) but had a hard time with it. I was uncomfortable in front of people (which shocked me b'c I'm not shy or reserved around anyone, strangers or otherwise, any other time) and just felt like I was constantly screwing up. My recruiter was a 1-2 shows/week consultant and I just felt like her priorities of job and family were a little .... different... than mine. My director was very successful and made it look like a piece of cake (just have a party with 40 people in attendance and you'll get bookings!) but I had a hard time finding bookings and getting sales. My commission went straight into the gas tank. I didn't have anyone to watch DS. DH was kind of supportive, but wanted me to be home when he was, so it wasn't like I could leave DS with him and do a show.. I pushed and pushed, held on for as long as possible, but in the end, it just wasn't right for me. It was very sad for me, as I really thought I would have been good at it and successful. *sigh* maybe I'll revisit the idea in 30 years when I'm done raising my kids.
