When searching for meat at your supermarket,
don't forget to look for manager's specials and
price cuts. At our Cub Foods, they're labeled with a
green sticker. I got a whole stuffed fryer chicken
for $3.40. If you're not sure how your supermarket
reduces meat, ask the butcher.

-I only buy sales, no matter what, if it
isn't on sale I wont even look twice at it.
-Buy secondhand - both cars were used, most of my
clothes I get on ebay (and I dress nice, no one
would ever guess that my designer jeans cost $19.00)
- review our budget once a month, to stay on track,
but also see if we might be able to cut back
somewhere.

Memorable (Yet Inexpensive) Kid Gifts
DVD slideshow. My husband took digital
pictures from the camera and burned them to a DVD
that can be played on our TV. My kids can watch
themselves grow up from birth to now and what kid
doesn't love to see themselves on TV. We add special
b-day pics, vacations, scouts, friends, Halloween
etc. Total cost---nothing if you have a CD/DVD
burner and digital camera! My dh adds Hannah music
etc. and my kids think WE ROCK!
