This is me too!!
Actually this year my dh has been hospitalized twice for about a week each. Luckily he has short term disability that pays his full salary. But I did cope very well. I know that the first person I call is my MIL. She lives about 3.5 hours from us, but she will drop everything and come up and help me with the kiddos so I can be with dh. I managed to do everything needed, including taking my ds to an all day wrestling tournament and only miss one day of work (luckily I work in a school and have summers off and one hospitalization was during the summer). I would really be in trouble without my mil and I admit that I was totally wiped out after each time.
