I stocked up on about $250 worth of B&BW stuff for $75 months ago. But otherwise, with alllll that's been going on in our lives lately, I haven't managed to even begin to THINK about what to get everyone, much less SHOP for it.

I am almost done ! I need to get my oldest 1 more book and a gift card to get her hair and eyebrows done, my youngest I am waiting on our American Girl order (I used the $10 off code and ordered her present early because I am nervous about not getting the stuff in time!) and I need to get a barbie head or some type of doll styling head! I need to get my one nephew a present, my mom a dvd and step dad a shirt. Oh and I am waiting on DH's Christmas present too!

I need to look in my gift bin and see what I've bought throughout the year. I've been trying to buy one gift a week for the last 2 - 3 weeks to try and spread out the bills. I'm going to have to pursue this more aggressively because I have to mail some gifts and I like to do that early.

I am at that point too, where the only thing I have left are "odds and ends" which I kind of hate because then I feel like I have my head chopped off and I am running around a million stores to get 5 things...maybe it is just me though

I have one thing for my dd but I keep waiting to see if better sales come. Not sure if I should wait until Black Friday to see what I can muster up!

Don't worry, it's not only you!! What I have left to buy is all at different stores , you would think with all the big box stores around what I have left to buy would all be at one place!

This is going to sound terrible, but since I clearance shop throughout the year, I'm usually done Christmas shopping by Black Friday. So, I usually go out and buy something for myself that day (I'm an electronics nut). We scored 3 30gb zunes for $80 each last year (the whole family got in on the waiting in line action!) The rest of the family waited outside at ToysRUs last year, and I did the Walmart thing. OMG....not doing the Walmart thing again, I just about got trampled as I was the first in line where I was, and got pinned in once I got my digital photo frames (which weren't all that great btw). I actually ended up returning a few. The rest of the family said people literally ran for the zunes once the doors opened, and some little kid ran faster and tried to grab them all for a parent I assume. Dh called him on it and managed to get one. I had picked another up online, and then a 3rd from Dell online, so we did well.
This year should be a good year for tvs and laptops, and it's already starting. Unfortunately, we don't need any laptops, but could use a tv if the perfect deal comes along, but I'm not in a hurry & don't have to have it. I usually end up taking "orders" from family members who aren't physically able to do the legwork I can do, & pick up great deals for them, and then they reimburse me. I go packing my cell phone & my shopping list, always with one teen along to guard the cart! LOL I usually pay the kids for the work with a goodie we find that day. It's especially helpful that the kids can drive now, and bring supplies and hot food/drink if we're waiting in line outside.

I don't think you are a nut. You could save $5 or $10 on toys or plan to save a lot more on a larger purchase. The toy savings are never that astronomical IMO
