I would like to have digital cards made for Christmas with my children's photo. However, many of the places are SO expensive.

If you know of any great deals, or you just want to share your favorite place to purchase cards, let us know! We could all use some great ideas in this category!

THANKS!

Check the Online Bargains forum for coupon codes on photo cards. There is a sticky thread with all the photo codes in it. You can find some deals there!

My favorite photo site is winkflash.com I just checked winkflash.com and they are offering this:

"Pre-Holiday Sale! 40% Off Your Card Order!
Order before 12-15-06 and get 40% off your Greeting Card, Note Card, and PhotoCards.
Just use the coupon code below to take advantage of this incredible deal! One use per account and/or household. "

This makes 4x8 or 5x7 photo cards 23 cents a piece and there is no maximum order. Plus I believe that Winkflash offers 99 cent s/h no matter if you order 1 item or 100. They print on fuji paper and I have ordered all of my scrapbooking photos through them. I've always been impressed with their service. Plus, it is so easy and quick to downlohttp://mommysavers.com/boards/images/smilies/eek.gifad your photo (s) to them and the turnaround for getting your order is fast.

Happy Holiday Planning!
Vicky from vickyandjen.com

(p.s. my 4 yr old son wanted me to add this smilie!)

I have given up on sending cards out at Christmas. I never save them when I receive them. I get the photo cards from most of the neighbors and usually I end up just sticking them in a box or tossing them. I probably sound cheap- but the cost of the cards and stamps just isn't worth it to me- but then again I don't give bday cards either- I mean some of those cards they want like $4 for- no way! LOL!!

Or else you could just include a 4x6 photo with a photocopied newsletter-type letter. 4x6 photos are only about 10-12 cents on most online photo places.

I second winkflash. I used them at the advice of someone else on this board (with the 40% off). I ordered the cards mid-week last week I think and they were in my mailbox on Saturday. They look great. I paid about $22 (including shipping) for 70 cards (envelopes are included). They DID charge $5 or so for shipping and handling. The $.99 shipping and handling is only good on the 4x6 photos I think (it says that when you order). They are quick, easy, and in my opinon, inexpensive.

I got photo window cards at the $1 store and they match DS's Christmas picture PERFECTLY. I'm getting copies of his picture on WINKFLASH, and only sending them to very close family and friends. I'm sending other normal cards out (that I got at the $1 store as well) and I would like to include a small update in every card (like a half-page newsletter)..

I am not sending a picture card this year, so I wrote our Christmas newsletter in the shape of a Christmas tree. It took a little maneuvering with the wording to get it to come out in a tree shape. Then printed it in black ink (I don't have a color printer) on paper with green and red metallic trees as the top border. I'm going to trim them so when folded using a gate fold they will fit standard letter-size red envelopes. To make a gate fold, fold left and right sides to meet in the middle of your page. The tree shape is a different concept than I've used for past newsletters but will get the reader's attention. I love receiving newsletters from the friends we've met as we've moved around the country, so I hope they enjoy receiving ours as well. I send regular cards to neighbors and people we see frequently. Happy Holidays everyone!
