I use all of our greeting cards from all holidays as scrapbook backgrounds. It just gives it a little bit more character to it. Plus it helps that my mother is in charge of the card section at the pharmacy she works at and gives me all of the old or non returnable cards they are going to toss!

Ok so while I was surfing through some sites on how to be crafty at during the holidays and homemade gifts. I came across this idea for old Holiday cards. Save your cards from previous years and cut them in half so you have the picture part. then use those as your Chirstmas cards for this year and mail them as a post card. This way you are saving on postage and still getting your cards out. This would save a bundle!
The only thing that I am concerned about is the fact that it may look kind of cheap. Maybe you could cut the edges and make them look less torn. Just an idea.

Wow these are great ideas. I have taken some real nice country ones and put them in picture frames for our walls.

We collect our card fronts and give them to our school. They use them to decorate gift bags that are used by the Santa's Secret Shop (where the kids shop for their parents) and for the Crisis Group Baskets given to those in our area who need a little help this Christmas.
