I currently bundle all my services w/ one service and pay $130 a month for DSL, phone w/ unlimited long distance, and family cable (about 70 channels). I'm looking for a way to cut this expense down, but dh doesn't want dial up (would have to go w/ a different carrier and its slower). If I go w/ a different carrier, my phone will go up $10, and if I go to dial-up, my internet will go down $20, but I'll have to taxes to 2 companies and 2 bills. Is it worth it and what do you guys do?

I bundle them up with cablevision, about $100 a month excluding taxes and fees. I dont sperate them for the same reason, it is more of a headache to deal with three companies than one. If you want to cancel one service entirely then it makes sense to stop this, but it works for us.

Mine are bundled for about the same as yours are. It is just easier. I may be changing though because the company I am with has been a real pain in the butt with our moving.

Our company gives really good specials for new customers or old customers that haven't been w/ them for at least ninety days, like $90 for our three services, but that deal ends after a year or 6 mo. Should I change carriers and go back after 90 days?

I wouldn't keep switching. It is a real pain to get everything switched back and forth. For me it is worth the extra $ to not have to deal with it.

We don't have the option to bundle where we are. We are too far out in the country for the phone company to offer any decent internet service. Also we have Directv instead of cable and their internet service isn't fast enough for what DH needs to work from home.

We finally got rid of our satellite dish b/c we realized that we weren't watching it enough to get our moneys worth. Our internet service is dial-up. I can get it for less than $10 thru the home business that I work with. And phone is about as cheap as we can get it.

Cancel the cable that will save you tons!!

We don't have cable, but we do have cable internet and our phone runs off of that. It's about $50 a month for the cable internet and we prepay for the phone - I think it was about $15 a month when we prepayed ahead a year and we got 3 months free. I love the cable internet phone, we don't pay long distance and when I call overseas (I have family in Germany) it's 3 cents a minute. We could get the *basic* cable with our internet cable and that would be about $90 a month. I don't know if that's something you have available to you, but it may be worth it to check out.

My phone bill runs around 80 a month. We local phone and unlimited long distance with Dsl. Kinda of high but I'm a heavy long distance phone user and am actually saving money. If we also got the satellite it would be around the same price as yours with taxes.

No, we don't bundle right now. I had heard on some news program that the bundle "thing" works for the company's benefit more than the customer. Once they have you "locked in" with 3 different services, then they have you locked in as a customer for life. Or so the report said. Who knows?!
