I just got back from Walmart.

So did you know that you can't use the coupons you collect from other stores at walmart?? I get catfood coupons at Better valu from the little blinker thing, and I went to use it at Walmart today, LIKE I ALWAYS DO, and the manager told me I couldn't. She said that coupon was specific to that store, and she wouldn't accept it. I have used about 10 coupons there! And not just catfood, but coffee creamer, toilet paper, and other things. Aparently thier cashiers are not well educated on coupons! LOL

It says :

Coupon good only in the USA on purchase of brand/size indicated. Void if copied, transferred, prohibited or regualted. Retailer: Del Monte Foods will reimburse you for the face value of this coupon plus 8 (cents) handling if reddemed with our redemtion policy (available upon request) Cash value 1/100 (cents). Send Coupons to : Address..... LIMIT ONE COUPON PER PURCHASE.

Where does it say I can't use it at another store??

Wow unless it said for a specific store on the coupon I have always used them. If they don't scan the girl checks the date and still gives me the money off. I'll have to watch next time and see if this is a new policy or was I just getting away with something.

Honestly, I think this is a load of crap. It says NOTHING on that coupon that I can't use it at another store, otherwise it should say so. I'm really perturbed about that.

I don't think that was right - the coupon did not say that it was only good at a certain store. I think that manager was not well versed.

Yes - there are some coupons that say only good at: xxx but if this one didn't then you should be able to use it.

I think I'm gonna call walmart later today and find out. It was a coupon for 9Lives catfood from a SmartSource Coupon Machine.

The gal at Walmart told me they won't accept them because they get returned to them. WTH? Its a COUPON issued by the company for a brand name they sell. I don't understand???

If it says "Manufacturer's Coupon" on it it should be able to be used anywhere. Sometimes I think Wal Mart just treats people badly because they can and they know some of us have to shop there because it's cheaper.

Okay It doesn't say Manufaturer's coupon on it. It just says at the top, Coupon Not subject to doubling. Redeemable at Face Value only. Its a 1.00 off 9lives cat food.
