If you have already paid off your mortgage...at what age did you achieve this?

I was 49 and DH was 53: I actually paid off the mortgage 6 months early as a surprise for his 54th birthday present. We had a 20 year mortgage. However, we just paid off the last of the HELOC last month. Woohoo!

I have a seven year plan and will be 35 when my house is paid off. I'll have two kids in college, so I don't have any high expectations for a few years aftger that!

If all goes according to plan, our mortgage will be paid off in 10 more years, I'll be 34 and hubby will be 40. We've talked about moving for the past 2 years or so, and lately we've been talking seriously about it. So we probably won't be here 10 more years....if that's the case I'll end with another mortgage that I'll be paying for a long long time haha

We're scheduled to pay off our mortgage in 9 more years. I'll be 56 and DH will be 60 (ouch).

In all probability, we'll pay it off sooner. But, as for how early, I'm not sure. We will have 1 kids out of college, 2 kids in college and another child in middle school at home at that point.
