OMGoodness! Can I just vent and whine for a minute?!?! This month has been totally out of control budget-wise. Just listen to this (and some of these things you have heard me talk about in other posts)...

AC (issues AGAIN) - repairs totaled $663
Outrageous power bill due to acting up AC and an influx of company - $450
Outrageous water bill (because our water co. stinks!) - $250
Fill the propane tank that I grill with almost every night - $200
DH truck transmission - $1,000
1 sick dog who required one vet visit and 2 ER visits - $300 +
1 sick dog who required surgery - $1,100 +

This doesn't include 3 miscellaneous doctors appointments for the humans in the house. DD had her 1 year check up, DH had a dental appt., and I had surgery on my lip (yep, expensive meds too).

Seriously. That is enough. Just stop. Plug the money hole! UGH!

Can you tell I was looking at finances tonight?

Well, I hope I made someone feel better about their situation.

ETA: See post #11.

I am so sorry. I had a time like that earlier this Summer. It seems like when it rains it pours.

Thanks for listening and encouraging. I think I just need to have a little pity party.

What was it about this month?! We had Dh dental bills out the wazoo, an emergency vet visit, and both kids went to the Drs a total of 3 times (DS went twice in 1 week), the water pipe in the garage leaked, plus various prescriptions for the kids and Dh for his wisdom teeth getting pulled. UGH.

You're not alone, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed it can only get better.

YIKES! I agree, when it rains it pours. Both our kids had some major expenses this summer too - dd had dental work done, and ds had speech therapy; neither of which was covered by our insurance. Glad we did it, but not happy for the big price tag.

Here's to smoother financial times ahead!

It has been that kind of month for us too. I was whining about it in a post the other day. So far we have had: $3000 for a new upstairs HVAC, $100 for a new car battery and then dh bumped into his friend while they were getting their cars close to each other so dh could use his tools which caused $1100 worth of damage to my car (luckily none to his friend's huge SUV!), $1000 for an out of town wedding, $300 for my 4 year old's birthday party, $150 for my 9 year old's birthday party, $2500 for my 4 year old's final third of his pre-k tuition, and then just yesterday $3000 for the portrait of the 4 year old that wasn't supposed to be ready until Christmas. If one more thing comes up I think I am going to SCREAM!
