(For the purposes of this poll, I'm not counting eggs as meat.)

Eating meatless meals isn't necesarily cheaper but I find meat takes up a big portion of my grocery bill.

How about you?

We don't necessarily eat a lot of meatless dinners every week (I said two) but meat is rarely the main focus of our meals. For example, I'll do a turkey casserole with chunks of turkey, but not use very much. Or, we may have spaghetti and I'll throw in 1/2 pound of hamburger in the sauce. Maybe once a week we'll pick up a rotisserie chicken and then use the leftovers to put in a casserole or soup the next day. Dh would go nuts if I didn't serve ANY meat! I, on the other hand, would hardly miss it.

We do about four a week....my husband is a hard convert...he loves meat. However, his brother is a vegitarian and I have learned some great recipes from my SIL that my whole family enjoys, so we go meatless more often than we used to.

We have a meatless dinner about 1-2 times a week. Only on the days I decide I am not cooking. Then dh and the kids eat cereal, pbj sandwich- something like this. I usually cook most days of the week- unless dh has a lunch meeting- then he is never hungry come dinner time- so it is easier for me and the kids to grab something quick. I think meat is a big portion of my grocery bill- but couldn't go no meat for very long here.

I said one....only beacause there wasn't a zero Any night we sit down at the table for dinner (which is every night with rare exception) we have some type of meat. Sometimes it's in a casserole, or spaghetti....most often it is the main part of dinner. DH is really a meat and potatoes kind of guy, so I don't think that I could go without for very long.

I said 1, because we always have some sort of meat with dinner, when we make pizza though, we only top it with cheese. DH doesn't consider it dinner without some kind of meat, I could easily go without it, I love veggies, pasta etc.

I said 1, the only real time we go meatless is if we have pizza for dinner. Even if it's spaghetti, I still like some meat in the sauce. Like Kelli's Dh, mine is also a meat and potatoes guy!

Once a week we will do pancakes for dinner and once a week we do a baked potatoe and soup or salad. ITs gives me a break and saves a few dollars.
