Well I put $150+ because I figured in cable and DVR (tivo). We are homebodies, you wont find us in bars or out at the movies, but we love to watch tv and tivo movies. We also do the $18 a month at Blockbuster.com. We have never got a disc that has been damaged, and its great for renting seasons of things as well as movies. For example I rented all of the seasons of One Tree Hill and watched it for free instead of buying it for $35.

Also we eat out a lot and that is where our money goes but we do it as a family. We need to cut back.

Lately I have been guilty of buying paperback books. Sometimes I want to keep them though and not read them all at once. I need to not buy those I guess. I also buy a lot of books off of amazon used.

My boys have tons of hand me down books. We read every night together before bed.

I would have to say less than 25.oo a month. Like everyone else we try to look for " free" things to do has much has we can. Our town has a few things to do here that doesn't cost much if anything. Like a museum, a nature park, a little zoo and of course we go to the library for books, videos and even Cd's! I quit buying magazines, and the paper ( i get it for free from a neighbor). We sometimes go to the local video store ( Hastings) just to get out -they sell books has well has videos so we browse through the magazines and books there. Winter is the hardest to think of things to do- we have to get more creative! We sit at home alot and watch videos ( no cable at our house) or we do crafts ( ds and i) . The one thing that dh and i are guilty of is not having a date night- which we do need to do. It's hard because i work almost every weekend ( 6 to 6) we are without a doubt boring people! LOL

We spend a lot... but its all food. We get Netflix, and we have a huge cable plan with HBO, but we never go to the movies. Our biggest cost is food. Someone is eating out EVERY DAY. Sometimes many times. I've known this was our downfall for a while.

i would say $6.00 a month i get my boys a happy meal once a month as a treat other than that we don't eat out no renting of movies nothing..we just can't afford to do that stuff...in the summer months we go to a new park and pack a lunch for fun the inlaws got us a pool last year(one of those intex ones only costs me $11 dollars to fill up) so we used that everyday for entertainment...we do archery in our back yard and frisbee golf for entertainment this year we are gonna save a little of our tax return so we can get a fire pit so we can roast marshmellows for fun this year..
