Do they help you in making a decision on your purchase?

And since information on products are "out there" now with internet access, than say 20-30 years ago, do you believe that companies making these products are trying to do a better job pleasing the customer, that they are having to be more accountable for mistakes or badly made products?

To your first question ... yes, we use the internet and online reviews before making any major purchases.

For your second question ... no. Is it on purpose I don't know. Products today have so much more with them. My washing machine has some sort of computer chip in it. There is no way that will last, 10 years. My dryer is a sensor where it automatically turns off when the clothing is dry. I'm sure something on that will eventually go.
