This year we are going to the after Christmas sales only b/c we still have some gifts to buy for bil/sil and their kids and I am also hoping to get some good deals for upcoming birthdays, clothes for the kids and to stock up on Christmas stuff for next year. My only problem is finding someone to watch the kids while I go.

Most of the stores around me already have Christmas decorations and wrapping paper at 50% off. Hobby Lobby is already sold out of Christmas ornaments, they've already put out Valentines Day stuff. A friend who works at my nearest Wal-Mart told me they were putting the rest of the Christmas stuff at 75% around noon on Christmas Eve.

Some years I venture out into the crowds looking for deals and some years I don't. I do shop online starting late Christmas Eve night.

Last year we happened into JCPenneys near the end of January and got in on a HUGE sale. My husband is 6'4" and needs to buy in the "big and tall" section - which are always more expensive than regular sized clothing. We ended up getting him $50 sweaters for $10 - so we stocked up on clothes for him. I also found some shirts for my son for like $2 or less. I am hoping to time it right to hit those sales again!

I always like to go after to Christmas to the Christian Bookstore and get Christmas cards. I usually try to find gifts for the "Christmas Gift Exchange" with the extended family that we have for next year. I usually try to find toys gifts for the kids birthdays. My birthday is 3 weeks exactly after Christmas - so sometimes I can get some good stuff for myself!

I'm not going out today - tuesday, but I'm going out tomorrow to Bath and Body works for Semi Annual. I can't beat thier prices. I really don't need anything, so for me to go out is a waste and since 2007 is use it up and cash only I have plan and be really careful of what I buy. I still have a ton of wrapping paper and bags. And if worse comes to worse, I can get them at the Dollar store.

I get my undated xmas ornaments. sometimes I also buy the dated ones. I hate paying that much money on ornaments.

Kohl's usually has the St nicholas square stuff at 70% the day after xmas.

I look for gifts for gift sets at walmart that I can use for party favors for girls bday party. I found purses with lip balms(6) for $2. I will probably take out some of the lip balms and save for other gifts.

I stock up on pj's for the next year. I usually buy for all the nieces/nephews.

anything else I wait til 75% off if I still need anything.

the best place to go is dollar store for wraping papers/paper products.

Unless there is something specific I want like a decoration I wouldn't pay full price for, there is very little I will buy before 90% off at Target. Now when that happens I stock up!
I buy my cards, wrapping paper, boxes, and all kinds of left over holiday items (many don't look that seasonal) I've stocked up for the year (solid color paper and etc.) and paid a Fraction of the cost.
