I use a zippered make-up bag and inside it I have envelopes with my coupons in them. Then envelopes are the small ones you buy at the store and the make-up bag is just wide enough to hold them. I have a few index cards separating the envelopes into major categories.
I have a health and beauty section and the envelopes are: dental, feminine, baby, hair, razors / shaving etc. Another section is cleaning and the envelopes are: laundry, cleaners, paper prod., air freshners etc. I have found this to be the easiest for me.

I was horrible with my nylon coupon thing- I use envelopes- and have seperate catagories: boxed, cans, dairy, meat/frozen, dairy, household goods (tp, shampoo, makeup, etc.) and junk food. Not very organzed but it's easier for me when I plan my shopping trips (i spend about an hour going through my pantry and freezer- plan our menu and then check out the ads and if there is a sale I check for coupons). I write down my shopping list and if there is a coupon for something I need (so nice when it's on sale too) or a great price- I staple my coupons to my list (of course it goes into my purse -actually hanging out of my wallet). So much easier than riffling through your organizer and the chance of you spilling your coupons all over the floor- that has happened to me many of times!LOL !
