Ya know what bugs me? This is, of course, absolutely no reflection on the people who do the actual work, but that explains why, when I have a problem with a company and ask for a supervisor or manager, why they always say none is available. Grrr. It's better than getting sent to India, but gosh, whatever happened to real service????

How do you get paid in doing this? Do you wait for a check? How long does it take? Hmmm......

desertmom.. there are people above the at home agents to help. a chain so to speak.

You get paid by check.. you might be able to get direct deposit now.. its been so long since Ive done it. You get paid bi-weekly.

With LiveOps you get a check on the 1st or 16th. You have the option of getting a physical check mailed to you or a direct deposit. The payment is 1/2 a month delayed. For instance, the work I did between 12/15 and 12/31 will be paid to me on 01/16.

And desertmom, you're right, there is no supervisor available. You would have to call customer service, usually a different number, to speak with someone with more power.

I have tried SEVERAL TImes to get into doing this. The frist time was about a year ago, I was approved. But when I went to take a test, I couldn't get the materials to open, and ran out of time to take it. This last time I tried to get in again, and I failed the personality test. I was told I wasn't suitable for that type of work.

I just tried to register and they told me that they weren't looking for anyone in my area right now. Story of my life. Thanks for reminding me about it, though.

Sorry about that. Which state do you live in?

The only other suggestion I can come up with is that you sign up with temp agencies. They can definately use your skills. Make it very clear that you can only work short assignments and tell them that you're available for work only when your husband is on a school break. I have also been able to get parttime work through temp agencies.

I also used to do parttime events center and catering work on evenings and weekends. The base pay isn't great but the tips are wonderful. Sometimes those kinds of jobs are available through temp agencies but most of the time you have to contact the businesses directly.
