I have been good, no target/walmart, nothing!
I have to do grocery, so have to be careful with that and stay in budget.

Although I've spent a lot of money this week it wasn't on nonsense stuff for the most part.
I did go to Target for the 75% off toys and bought presents for 3 girls and 10 bags of cheese for us (we were out again) for just over $20 So not bad b/c normally we would have spent that on each girl! Woo hoo.
Other than that I've stuck to necessity items but had to put gas in both my car and dh's truck, get groceries, I was low on a few things and there is a big ice storm headed our way TODAY! And get dog food of course which is another $20! Yuck

Well, ds and I ate fast food twice this week for lunch At least that was less than $10 total and he did get to play in the playplace. We also had Pizza once, we used coupons, but we really should have just cooked supper.
I went to the outlet mall, where I had never been before, looking for wrestling shoes for my middle son. Did not find any, but I found that I love the Nike outlet!!!!! I bought my youngest ds some tennis shoes for $14!!!! He needed them, too!! I did not even look in the other stores at the outlet, since I did not need anything else. But I did decide that we will be going there when we do need something (Kim, did you know there is an Old Navy outlet at Medford??)
I spent $20 on wrestling shoes for ds at Play It Again, which seemed kinda high, but it beats the $30something for brand new ones, I also paid $18 for other ds wrestling shoes on Ebay.
I did not buy any groceries this week, but I do need to go today. Hopefully I can get everything we need for around $60.
So not too bad of a week.

I felt proud of myself for not buying those cute Valentine's Day outfits for my girls at Target. Sure, they are reasonably priced but I just went through their drawers and both of them have TOO many clothes.
Also, I've been following the advice read on Cindy's Porch. I wanted to buy a new gym bag to take to Jazzercise. I was tempted because they have their rolling suitcase bag on sale this month. I procrasintated and shopped at home. I have a backpack that is very high quality that I used as a diaper bag. So now I'm using it! Procrastinate and shop at home! It works!

I think I've done pretty well.
Besides some necessity groceries I've made all meals with what we have.
A big accomplishment for me is eating the food in the fridge that needs to be eaten up first, and staying away from my daily cravings. Ex: in the "old" days if I wanted pasta I would whip up a batch. Now if there is soup or veggies that need to be eaten up because they won't last much longer, I get creative and do something with them.
The only non-essential item I bought was a pkg of 3 pens. I'm doing a craft for next year's Christmas presents and needed a specific type of pen.LOL

I have not gone out to eat for lunch once this week. Huge for me! I also haven't gone shopping at all but I think that has more to do with the fact that we have snow and I don't do snow!!
Treehugger I don't think I would feel bad if I had my eye on something for almost a year and then waited until 50% off to buy. Isn't that what all the experts say to do? Wait a month and see if you still want it? Well you waited a lot longer then a month!

Triumph: Used up all the leftovers, didn't do any shopping at Target or Walmart.
Mistakes-Ds is potty training so when he has to go I run. It was lunch time and I had a bowl of canned chicken big can from Costco (expensive) and a small brand new brick of cheddar on the counter that my dog decided to help himself. (Frugal he got no dog food that day) and he didn't seem to get sick!
Other mistake, we have not even belonged to the YMCA for a month and when we were leaving last night my ds2 was having a tantrum so when I went to get our cards I grabbed the insert out of my wallet with my reg. ID put the cards away and thought I shoved in my coat pocket. I must have dropped them the part that upsets me is NO ONE has turned them in, plus when I went to get my Birth Certificate everyones was there BUT mine which last time I remember seeing it was in very bad shape. So I had to order a new one $19.00 will be $45.00 to replace the 3 Y cards and I dont remember how much to get a new ID at least $25.00 the only good thing about that is I needed to renew in April anyway!

Bad week for me . . .
I'm apparently in a shopping mood. Just buy, buy, buy. Pretty unusual for me. I've been trying to stay out of the stores but it's not working. I've been getting good deals on everything I buy but still am buying things I don't need and spending too much. I kept going shopping and just leaving stuff in the car till yesterday I decided to empty the car. I had at least 8 large bags of just 'stuff'.
I went to Walgreens to use my coupons and buy stuff that was FREE. Spent $43!! I will get over $20 of that back with rebates but that means I still spent $20 at Walgreens on NOTHING I needed. Just online I spent over $40 at Beall's using the link in the other thread. I've never ordered from them so hope they are a good company. I got 6 new pieces of clothing for me!! Do I need 6 new clothes??? Probably not. Also, I would NEVER walk in a store and spend over $40 on clothes for me but somehow think it's okay online to justify the s & h.
Bad week. I need to do better. I got paid today for the month so will sit down with the bills this weekend and figure out how poor I am after my buying sprees. Will somebody p l e a s e take my credit card away!!

I did good, didn't buy any nonsense items, but Gymbucks redemption time started so I did spend $200 there for spring clothes for my 2 girls. My son is set for spring so he won't need any clothes.
Down side, next week is gonna be bad my kids need new shoes and they have extra wide feet so we are talking $40-50 a pop! Ugh
