Anyone want to share their triumphs/mistakes of the week?

My mini-triumphs: I bypassed all of Target's 75% off toys this week. I went to Old Navy on markdown day and spent less than $5 (i got 10 rolls of wrapping paper at 17 cents each!)

Mistakes: Hmmm... I guess all in all I was pretty good.

Anyone else?

This was a good week so far. I left the house only once, and that was to register my ds for school. Although the Target sale was always on my mind I resisted. I called and terminated our mutual funds to pay down credit card debt. So it's Thudaysday and I am being good so far this week.

For the most part, I've stayed out of stores this week. I had to go to the UPS Store to mail a package and I drop off/pick up DS from school. I guess the one thing I did was order a pizza from Pizza Hut, just got off the phone with them and am waiting my 30-35 minutes for my frugal badness.

Ummm, this was a bad week for me- I had to get a lot of groceries to replenish some of my stock and I had to get some clothes for my youngest. My triumph was paying so little on her clothes- a little over $6 at Goodwill- all Childrens Place clothes too!

Yesterday, I had to get some groceries. Went to Meijer - caught the register mispricing my oranges by $3!!

Went to Target and found shoes and clothes for ds for next year - don't get any hand-me-downs for him. I found 2 pairs of shoes for him to grow into totalling $7.50!!

I got B-day money for me and got 2 pairs of shoes and a sweater for $20 at Target!

Those are my good deals.

Well, I was able to buy 2 pairs of badly needed shoes for me ($4.98 & $5.74), a 3 pack of underwear for both boys ($2.48 each), a turtle neck for both boys ($1.24 each), a pack of socks for both boys ($1.98 each) and a navy blue polo for my oldest for the Spring ($1.74) at Target for less than $25. All that for what one of those pairs of shoes cost originally! :yay!:

I have been shopping off clearance racks for the past 2 weeks...here are some of my finest finds!
Target:
Hoodie sweatshirt for my son: $1.98
2 pc. Pooh outfit (jeans & long sleeve tee) for son: $2.31
Long sleeve tee for me: $4.98
100 pc natural wooden blocks for my son: $1.98
Macy's:
Dockers pants for me: $11.98 (used a 20% off coupon and a gift card too!)

The only problem area for me is every time I go to Target or the mall I get a Starbucks. But, being a SAHM and the weather being so bad I don't get out there too much.

I have been so proud of myself, I haven't looked at any of the after Christmas sales, didn't even open the emails screaming to me that everything is almost free, then..........

They sent me a catalog with a sweater I have been looking at for a year. It was half price and I caved....(kicking self in rear). Oh the shame....
