What is your dh going to school for and how much longer does he have till he's done. Is he able to work part time? Are you? I can't imagine supporting a family on just savings for an extended period of time. It would kill me to eat up all my savings...but then I'm a cheapskate If possible I would see if one or both of you could get part time jobs. It might be rough for a while, but one of you could do an evening or two a wk (probably you while he studied) and one of you could do Sat. or wknd work. I went to school full time and had a part time job for the last few years while completing a demanding nursing school curriculum that including long clinicals at the hospital. Then I worked full time while getting my masters. So I know it's rough, but it can be done. Hopefully this won't be a long term problem and you can "band aid" your way through till it's over..Hugs

I used to work for an Interior Design Company. You could look up architecture and design firms in your area and see if they need their design work photographed. My company was in the process of having many sites photopraphed for brochures, advertising, and their website when I left last month.

One of the girls I worked with also quit her job to do photography full time. She would photograph co-workers kids (Senior pictures were a big hit!) She was also lining up weddings to photograph.

If you wanted to photograph more weddings you could set up a booth at one of the bridal shows in your town. Use your brochure skills to make information packets and show off the work you currently have. Then submit very competitive rates. Brides are always looking for a great deal from someone talented!
