We are doing the same thing w/our income tax check this coming year. We are paying our house taxes, insurance(car/house) and anything else we can pay for the year. Right now we are worried about coming up w/ the $900 to pay the second half of the years taxes on our house. Dh was told there would be overtime during the summer but instead they are laying people off. Not sure how we are going to come up w/ that amount by Oct. 31.

Our space is limited, but I have been able to stockpile a few necessities for hurricaine season. Our baby is due end of Sept/early October, so I'm also trying to get the house ready for that. With combining coupons with sales, I've been able to stock up on a lot of toiletries, laundry detergent and cleanning supplies. I believe I have enough for at least 3 months and possible even 6months +. Food-wise, I've been slowly adding to my stockpile every time I go to the store. We're looking at getting a freezer next month and I'll probable fill that up with meats, breads, and frozen meals. I've also been slowly building up the new baby's diaper supply, and since DD is still not potty trained, I've been adding to her pile of pullups and wipes.

Right now I am working some so we can spend the extra money on supplies. When the baby arrives, we'll be depending completely on my husband's income since I won't get paid the 3 months + I'll be out.

oh, and I also tend to start my Xmas shopping in Jan, so I'm almost done with Xmas ( I even have my cards picked out). I do stockpile on presents for other occasions also.

I stockpile too much or atleast that is what my DH says! * * I bought coupons off ebay for FREE ANY size Pampers Diapers and Wipes. *I would purchase them in cases because ANY is ANY! *Anyway, my DD will be 2 years in 3 weeks and I just bought my first wipe refill and still have 7 boxes of diapers and 5 boxes of pull-ups left in the closet. *This is a picture of the boxes I had in "reserves" BEFORE I was even preggo with DD! *This is my DS's closet and it was stacked from top to bottom of shelf! *As you can see, I had them arranged by size according to which I would use first being on top. *Hey, it is saving me money now.

I am really into couponing and stockpiling, but since our move, I haven't gotten my "store" up and organized- too hard with all the heavy boxes and being pregnant. I had posted pics before of our old basement and all the shelves:
http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery....3284655

But it looks nothing like that now- I have cereal in bags all over the floor- bags from CVS with Sunsilk shampoo everwhere- and a ton of Coppertone Spray from Riteaid, and so much more. I need to just get down there and reorganize everything and set up my shevles.

I am due in 8 weeks- maybe sooner? (Please!) and have about 40 tubs of wipes and many packages of diapers all stocked and ready! Will be picking up a bunch more at CVS this week with their ECB promotion!

sorry no pics but I do stockpile

I run a daycare so we go thorough alot of snacks and such.when it is on sale I buy ALOT!!! It is not uncommon for mwe to buy 10-12 boxes of granola bars............crackers and things like I buy in the BIG boxes.

I never run out of laundry soap and dish soap........I buys it once or twice a year.maybe not alwsys the cheapest price (but darn close to it)but I hate running out of something.

did you know that toothpaste has an expiration date on it? I didnt before but I do now! but you will still find me buying 6-8 tubes at a time. feminine products and such......NEVER want to run out of that I buy the big boxes!!

hm I know there is more

The biggest secret is to start using coupons matched with sales. Start out small- but soon you will get addicted. I ask my family and friends to save their coupons for me. That way I can get more than one item when it is on sale. I have even started ordering coupons form "coupon services" that get hundreds of sunday papers, and you just order the specific coupons you want! Buy enough now at a great sale and you won't run out and have to buy at full price later!

Rule 1: must organize coupons

Rule 2 : must take coupons with you!

I can add more later if you are interested- I started a thread like this with the last boards, before we moved, but things got busy and I never got back to it!
Lert me know what all you would tp know, and I am sure the others who use coupons will jump in to!

THANK YOU!!! I too am seriously into couponing...I saw your pictures on dealagogo and must say that it is one of the reasons I begin this "venture." I did not want to tell everyone in case you were not in the mood to share but PLEASE help us get some good threads going. I would very much like to make the frugal living forum one that everyone wants/needs to read. If we could get all of our serious couponers to come out of the woodwork we would have a VERY informative board.

GREAT PICTURES by the way!!!!
