I saw a preview for Friday night (Jan 19th) 20/20 is about "Drowning in Debt".

I'm going to tape it and watch it. Just thought I'd let anyone know in case they were interested in the topic.

I watched this. It was entertaining, but I can't say I learned very much. They really focused on debt collectors and how they operate.

There was a short blurb about "America's Cheapest Family" but really - aside from living within their means on a small salary, clipping coupons, buying at thrift stores, they didn't really say what else made them so "cheap". Those are all things most of us here on this board are already doing!

My 7 year old daughter watched it with me, and it was good for her to learn more about credit cards and the problems families get themselves into when living beyond their means.

Anyone else watch it?

I taped it but I haven't watched it yet. I was going to watch it tonight after the kiddies go to bed but now you have me thinking. Maybe I should watch it with the kids. But what if they recognize the 'cheap' family as being how we live. I don't want them thinking I'm cheap!
