Spinoff to pairing down kid's clothes - Page 2

I'm selling all of our baby "stuff" and last fall/winter's baby clothes at a children's resale consignment sale this fall. I can't wait to finally have the attic cleared out! I hope it goes very well so I can do it again with spring/summer clothes too. What doesn't sell there they will donate to a pregnancy crisis center.

We have so many girls in our familly right now that DD's clothes can get passed on to her cousins. Now if baby on the way ends up being a girl, we'll definitely be getting the clothes back.

Coffeegirl, definately put them up on our bartering board. It's free & I'm always looking on there for stuff for my grandkids. If I could fogure out how to use my new digital camera I could trade but right now I can only trade gift certificates or paypal.

I am also doing a consignment sale- we have one locally twice a year. you set your own price and get 65% of the price. After the sale you can pick up your stuff that didn't sell or let it be donated. I did pretty well in the spring sale, and I'm really clearing out stuff with the winter one coming up.

I just donated about ten LARGE bags of clothes to church garage sale. I also am getting together some things for a family at church who' house burned down. 2 moms are in hospital and there kids are staying with an aunt. so the aunt now has 10kids including her own. 5 of the kids and the two sisters have nothing.

I usually do garage sale for charity. my neighor often buys my girls clothes. I trade but havn't gotten off my bu!! enough to do that yet.

Craigslist has Chicago, but not Norhtwest Indiana where I am at, however, i do see people from here listing there, thanks!

I live South of South Bend, and I see people from Valpo area and further west listing on the South Bend board all the time.
I look at the Ft. Wayne board as well...

Never hurts to try it!!
