I am getting rid of girl stuff, as I am expecting a boy.

I have done a little trading, Ebay, weeded out the stuff in bad shape, and made some donations.

I found a Yahoo group that sells via Paypal, but haven't figured out the rules yet, so haven't tried.

Just wondering, what are you doing with it all?

I have made about $100 on Ebay so far, and I am thankful. I need 2 pairs of school shoes, and 2 pairs of tennis shoes for the start of school. And I usually buy my girls good shoes for that, like Stride Rite, and then fill in with trendy ones or whatever from other places. So I will drop a lot of what I have made on school shoes, but they both have had growth spurts, and are pretty much living in flip flops now!

I could have a kids clothing sale, but not a regular garage sale. I've got rid of a lot of clutter, so there is not much to sell otherwise.

I tried consignment stores, one I gave a brand new London Fog overcoat to, along with 5 other items, and she said none sold. I also never saw my stuff in the store, and this was not the first time. So I wondered if the lady took what she wanted first....I never made more than $8, and to store it until they want it, then they will only take 10 items, leaving you to still get rid of the rest, so I gave up on that for my stuff.

I tried a kid place, and she wanted me to take store credit, which was fine, but I gave her nicer stuff than she had on display, and there was mostly infant/toddler and I needed for my 7 year old.

So I guess I'll keep Ebaying, or donating, what about you?

Do you know anyone you could do a swap with? Like someone who might have the types of clothes you are looking for and might want yours?

I would do a garage sale. Just advertise it as all kids clothes. In my area people would come out like crazy for that!

I went to a church where they had a clothes swap. Bring things in, take things out. It was wonderful! I gave so many things, a nice high chair, stoller, etc and got nice clothes for my DS and myself.

Maybe suggest that at your church. I sure do wish I could trade clothing but I need boys size 4T and I have boys 2T. No one wants smaller clothes.

My sister & I did A Done Having Babies rummage sale 3 weekend ago. We ran an add in the paper stating that it was a done having babies sale and listed clothes by size and gender and then listed all the baby furniture and items we had. The add ran us $40 but we sold $1400 over 2 days. We still have a ton of stuff mostly clothes to get rid of but I'm going to take it to a friends house in Aug and do another done having sale with her. We're in a baby boom here so people are looking for things. By the way I pteteen and teen stuff that we listed too.

I just sold all of ds' clothes that he has outgrown ( 3mth to 12mth) to an expecting Mom! She came to give us a market analysis on our house and asked if I had any clothes I was going to sell. I said yes and she came over one day and made me an offer to buy the whole lot. $175 later we paid out our pool from layway and I'll use the rest for winter clothes. The best part is that most of the clothes came from ebay, goodwill or clearance. I don't think I paid full price for anything. She got a good deal and I saved a bunch of time by not having to list on ebay or tag for our fall consignment sale!!!
