All the talk about WalMart layaway the other day got me thinking. So I took my kids and we got everything on their lists. I put $60.77 worth of notebooks, pencils, crayons, etc on layaway. They don't need them until Sept 5, so I have lots of time to pay it off little bit at a time. I think we did pretty good considering it was supplies for 5 kids!!!

But what happens if the price goes back up? Does your layaway, too?

It can't get any higher than the $60.77 it was when I put it on.

Make sure that you keep your receipt. If the price goes down, have the receipt and tell them that you want a price adjustment. Walmart will do that, as long as you have that receipt.

You got 5 kids supplies for under $61.00!!! I think that's awesome! At my kid's school, they were selling their supplies (All pre-packaged in a convenient box) for $35.00 per kid!
Congrats on a great deal!

That's what our school does to if you opt for it. A bag of everything they need for (fill in grade here), for $35.00.

Good idea Happymom, I would have never thought of that. Also cause if you wait too long to buy them EVERYTHING is gone.

I did the layaway thing in June...almost $250 worth of supplies, underwear, shoes, etc. for most of the kids! Now,I did have to guess since we haven't gotten the supply list yet. But, we do have the whole summer to pay on it instead of waiting until Aug.
