We have:

4k -Truck loan (paid in 2.5 years)

We have to keep this loan though cause we need to build credit for 24 months before we can buy our house as soon as the 24 months is up we are paying it off and probably getting a credit card, charge $5 then pay it off every month.

We have too much debt. But we are working on it!

I've noticed that with just a few changes (mostly tips I read about on the saving money daily thread ) we've really cut down some expenses and now we actually HAVE money to put towards debt reduction and savings. In fact, we will be paying one cc off tomorrow! Yippee!!!!

$164,000 left on mortgage
$9,000 left on student loans
$8,000 left on suburban (12 months left on payments)
$27,000 in credit cards ( I can't believe I actually typed that amount and should be paid off in 24 months if nothing major happens).

So, a total of $208,000

I think we have the highest debt on this board when it comes to credit cards. A good portion of that is related to medical expenses (therapy, diagnostic charges, dietary changes, supplements) for ds, traveling expenses for when dh's dad was very sick and my out of pocket dental expenses. Sometimes I wonder why we even pay for insurance?!?! We also bought a treadmill and a lot of other no so smart charges.

I am so embarassed but we are working on it. Dh maxes out on his 401K (and his company matches), we also contribute to my Roth IRA monthly
