I am fortunate my mom buys my kids lots of clothes. My oldest is very thin, it is hard to find stuff to fit her, so I do buy her clothing wherever we find it to fit. I try to shop sales, have coupons, etc. A lot of their clothes are from the Gap Outlet, Carters Outlet, etc.
I do buy good shoes from Stride Rite, to get a good fit from a pro, and then we will go buy others from Payless or Target, etc. And those are mostly sandals. As someone with foot problems, I believe in a good sturdy shoe.
I also stop at yard sales, and I like the Once Upon a Child store, but I usually find baby clothes for my little guy, and not so much for my girls.
My sis has 2 boys so we have a TON of hand me downs. Once he grows onto a lot of it, I will go through it again, a lot are probably suited for playclothes, and I bet I have way more than I need.
