We finally finished ours last night (we had been waiting for one form to come in) and we are getting back alot thanks to the mortgage interest and donations we made this year.
It's going to pay off our last credit card! WOOHOO! No more debt (except cars/house)! I'm so excited! We are going to pay that off, pay a 1,000 tax bill for my dh's car, and put the last 1,000 in our emergency savings account.

We are getting a decent bit back and have a lot of plans for it all! We already figured out how it would all be distributed!

1) Put aside $ towards other taxes for the year.
2) Pay off our 2 smallest credit cards.
3) The girls are getting new stuff for their rooms- the oldest needs a new mattress set and a vanity, the youngest is getting out of her toddler bed and into the beautiful wooden day bed I got for $15 at a yard sale- so she only needs a mattress, a new comforter set and either a chifferobe/armoire.
4) Putting money into a savings account- for emergencies and towards vacation!

We are putting most of ours toward our cc, and some towards paying off our car.

We already got most of it and yesterday we ordered dd a nice new bed, we bought a new t.v for the basement which we didn't need but it was originally $1200 and we got it for $250 and it is 34 inches. The rest we will keep in the savings account, no other plans right now.

i have no idea what we will be getting back yet, but hopefully it will be enough to register the car for the year, and pay the house insurance and register the truck for the year, and pay the alarm company the money we owe them. i highly doubt we are goingto get all them oney back that we need, but i am really wishing for it.

I still don't know how much we are getting back but if we are getting back what we got the past two years I would not be surprised nor disappointed.....

Our plan so far is to put some of it toward the house...
Tile outdoor patio...my husband will do the labor part.
Finish up odd and ends around the house.

Place half in a savings account to use incase of emergencies. It will
give us a nice little safty net. My husband and I made an agreement not to
touch it unless both agree what the money will be used for.

I have not even called the lady who does my taxes yet to see when I can get in she only charges (25.00) pretty cheap and I am to scared to do them myself.

But I suppose I suspect how much we will get back from what we got last year we will spend it on:

1. Paying off other taxes will take about 1/2 of the suspected amount
2. Small amount twoard a small weekend getway maybe skiing!!
3. Dh needs some new proffessional work clothes and shoes.
4. The rest will go to savings for some summer college classes I will be taking

Not so exciting or boring!!

We will also be getting a pretty good chunk of change back, so we will get new tires for my van (they are in very dangerous shape) and a new dishwasher (this one is broken). The rest will go into savings for emergency use since we have no other debt to pay off.

We always try to break about even, but this year I expect to get some back because of all the medical expenses we've had. So, any return will replace the savings that were used to pay medical bills last year.
