we got a little over 1000 - all going toward paying off the consumer debt!
we're on an agressive pay-down-the-debt plan, lol

I had originally planned on putting most of our refund into savings, but we've decided to do some much needed remodeling on our home, so most of our refund (plus more) is going towards that. The rest will be used to pay for our oldest 3 kids' school registration for next year.

we are putting most of ours on the mortgage and then we will use a little of it to buy a new dishwasher. My old one died on me, and washing dishes in the sink is getting old...

We also got ours back and we spent most of it on medical bills that had stacked up. Our middle son was very sick last year and had to spend a couple of days in the hospital, have a CT scan, get treated for 11 sinus infections, etc. Then, we set enough aside to put a sprinkler system in as we are watering restriction in our great little town!! We also paid off some other bills that were hanging around and plan to do a fun little shopping trip with a little of it!!!

Our family is on the Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. We are in the step of paying off debt. This year that won't be depressing for us, it is so rewarding. We were convicted that being in debt is not where God wants us to be. We have a long way to go, but this tax return is a healthy start. We haven't decided but we may take a little out for a fun dinner just hubby and I.

We're not getting as much back as we usually do as we adjusted our w-4's last year, but all that do get is going straight into our emergency fund. We have to have enough money to cover two months expenses plus emergencies by mid-June since dh is only on a ten month pay plan this year. In the years past we paid down some debt and did something for ourselves. This year I guess we're essentially paying for dh to be able to stay home for a full month this summer.
