We also agree that since i am staying home that there is no buying of diamonds and expensive gifts. I don't really wear jewelry and the only thing i would really love (a three stone anniversary ring) would be wayyyyyyyyyyyy too expensive at this time.
The thing he does splurge on some Valentines' are Sherry's Berries. They are the most tasty chocolate covered strawberries.

The only diamonds I have are my earings and wedding ring. I lose jewerly like crazy! But every gift giving time, anniversary, b-day, mothers day, I always get something good. DH will get me a new Coach purse, I have a couple of movados, and always the latest in cell phones, laptops and anything technology. We are horrible at saving money and when he has it he just wants to spend it on me and our kids. I guess that is why we have no savings. He says it makes him happy to see me happy which used to be good for me but now I am more for saving money than gifts.
