Before we got married I tried to take it over at one point-but he didn't want to relinquish control...I insisted on joint checking. Now that I need tobe thrifty, I should do a better job. I think debit cards have done me in

i do it every day--every other day at the least. We have online now but used to I could call the automated teller number to check--it was an addiction. I worry about money--even though we are fine now--years ago when I was raising kids on my own you had to watch every penny.

I do it every month. I have to know what is going on. Some times I make a mistake. Thankfully I have never bounced a check. I don't use a debit card I use cash when I'm shopping that way I spend less.

we balance ours weekly with online banking. I always have to know exactly how much money we have, what we spent it on, and how much is in savings. I feel better that way.

I pay all the bills...my husband just writes me as check once a week. I do most of my bills right online so I know what is going out.

I balance it with Quicken once a month, but I check my account at least once a week to make sure there are no unusual charges or anything. I don't consider online banking to be the same as balancing your checkbook, but a good tool to use to help you keep track of your accounts.

Banks have made mistakes before that you have to watch. You can't just assume that online banking is 100% accurate. JMO
