I pay most of my bills on line or on the phone. We have the cluster mail boxes that you have to have a key to open, but I've still never used it for outgoing mail.

I do think it's crazy that some people will still try to stuff a mailbox with more envelopes, even when it's overflowing. Does it really take that much longer to walk into the post office and mail them inside?

I have had my mail messed with so I'm very leary about using my mailbox to mail anything important now. I'll take a ride to the post office. It's inconvenient but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I use epay with my bank for most bills. I never had any mail stolen though when I did not and I live in a city.

I pay all the bills I can via the internet, be it through internet banking or by using my credit card.

I dont trust cheques and we get charged for writing them out as well!!!

I pay most of mine online but when I do have outgoing payments they go in the mailbox. Thanks for the heads up!

I saw something about this on Oprah about a year ago. A mother who was addicted to meth was stealing checks from her parent's neighboorhood mailboxes. She admitted to doing this and it is quite sad. Ever since then, I do not put checks in the mail. Sadly, it's come to this. I should try paying more online.

I used to put some bills in the "community mailbox" before we moved. Now we've moved out of state and are living in an apartment until our house sells.

They have the craziest outgoing mailbox here. They have a single mailbox for all the residents to put their outgoing mail in. A "personal" mailbox...not the community kind. Although we get our mail in the community box. Isn't that weird?? There is NO WAY I would ever put my bills in there. Talk about making it easy for those who have bad intentions!!
