I have it but I noticed that some of my purchases are not going to it. I have it connected to my Kroger crd and I have bought Huggies there and it never shows up. Also, I only have like $3 in there from about 3 years

I joined several years ago (maybe 5). Have earned about $600. A big chunk of that came from when we refinanced our house. I also had the visa card for a couple of years which helped alot. While I wouldn't recommend it as the sole way to save for college, it definately can be a help.

When the account reached $400, I took the money out and put it into my children's college fund rather than opening the 529 through upromise. I am getting ready to do the same again. It is pretty easy to do. They have instructions on the site.

We have this. I have my credit, debit, and grocery cards signed up. Problem is I pay cash a lot,at the grocery store, I work as a bartender right now and find I spend less if I have cash! Then we do not get the money!!

And we no longer get the SBC credit each month, so lately I don't have much going in there.

My SIL has given me her card numbers and my kids benefit from that--her boys are one in college, and one just graduated, so it does not help them.

When you use Priceline you can go through the Upromise site, so I did, and not only got a great car rental rate, but savings for college too.

Jseven are you sure about debit card purchases from McD's showing up in your UPromise? I haven't used my debit card there much so I would have to double check but I thought you had to buy the McD's gift certificates to get the UPrm credit. I try to remember to do this but the folks at the check out always seem so annoyed that I have to purchase the books first and then place my order. We don't go there often enough for it to pay for me to just have McD gift cert sitting in my purse waiting for our next trip.

I have been a member for about 6 years now and I don't even have $100 in there, it really adds up for the big things like the mortgages, also helps if you have others signed up. My folks won't sign up because it asks for there SSN. But like you say every little bit helps.
