Thanks for the input!

This is girl number 3, in 4 years time so we have just about everything. The nursery we just completely re-did and paid cash so we have no debt.

I am having a big baby, so I am buying 2 boxes of size 1-2 diapers and a big box of wipes. I am also splurging on some stuff for me for at the hospital.. and new books. I am going to stock the freezer as well. I am going to save 500$ of the money, though.

Good choice! I would stock the kitchen as full as I could get it so that I wouldnt have to worry about that and then save the rest. That way when you know what you want the money will be their.

Stock up the freezer! Just think of the weekly grocery savings and put that in the bank! I dont think you can really go wrong with wipes, but diapers and formula is an iffy thing.

I definitely think you've got a good plan. I would definitely stock up the freezer. The less grocery shopping you have to do after the baby is born the better. Make sure you find the best deals on the stuff you are stockpiling though. Or it really isn't a savings.

Dh and I are going to start stocking up on baby necessities over the next months when we find a good deal.
