I'll second Blessed_with_6 - secrets are not good!

My former DH kept a bank account and many credit cards (including a PO Box) hidden from me for years. It was devastating when it all came out. I thought we worked through it but really it was just symptomatic of many other secrets that were kept from me. In a good marriage partnership there is no reason to keep secret credit cards, bank accounts or money. I would not help anyone hide something like that from their spouse unless there were abuse issues and this was possible 'escape' money. Either pay it all off for her right now or tell her you will not help her keep the bills hidden from her husband. You are in a bad spot!

I can't imagine doing it either. I think if either party in the marriage is keeping secrets like that, it's a sign it's not a healthy marriage. I tell my dh everything.

I guess I could see doing it only for buying gifts for your spouse. I just got our cc bill and I looked at it and asked dh "You paid $60 for valentine flowers!!!!"
