EXCELLENT! That is the first article that I have ever seen that STARTS by recommending that we 'opt-out' with the credit reporting agencies. I did that years ago and it stopped my junk mail by more than 50%!

I also use a false name whenever I sign up for catalogs or magazine subscriptions. Several weeks ago I ordered something on-line and put the 'ship to' address in DD's name since she loves receiving packages. Sure enough, the other day we received a letter in the mail saying the she qualified for a 5% mortgage. She's 5-yrs old!

And, if you move, NEVER put in a change of address with the US Postal Service. They sell your name and address! Change your address with all your creditors, friends and relatives directly.
