Suze Orman has a new book out about Women and Money. I'm guessing that will be her topic on her show tonight on cable CNBC. Might be worth tuning in!

Covering today's hottest financial topics, "The Suze Orman Show" helps people make the connection between self worth and net worth. In a format that's fast-paced, down-to-earth and entertaining, Suze Orman candidly tells her audience the truth about money so viewers can change the course of their financial destiny -- to have more and be more. They will also gain Orman's insight on how to protect themselves financially, resulting in personal empowerment that's exemplified in their bank accounts.

I love to watch her on Saturday night. I am so exciting! Although I usually catch her later in the evening.

Did anyone watch this? If so, what did you get out of it?

I watched for about 1/2 hr and changed it... just couldn't get into it and didn't get anything truly useful out of it for myself besides saying my name with "power"...

Did anyone find it inspiring? Pick up any good tips they'd like to share?

I thought it was interesting. I liked her "steps" idea; sort of a hierarchy of how to work on the inside before you can feel "rich" on the outside. Her personality can be a little over-the-top at times, but if you can look past that she does have some great information to share.

I don't know how this quote thing is going to work it has not work well for me in the past anyway. Kim I totally agree with you I TiVo'd it and only got a chance to watch about the first 20 min of it. I truly get what she is trying to say. If you feel powerless or someone makes you feel that way in the case of her guest she had on last night, you tend to spend your money in ways that you think are going to make you feel better i.e. for her guest, facials, getting her nails done, massages. And then she is worried if her car needs servicing she will not have enough money to pay for it or any other unexpected that may turn up. I know unfortunately there have been more then one occasion in my life where I could see myself in her guest. I can't wait to watch the rest. You are also right about her personality a bit on the extreme side. Just a side note my dh read in the paper last week that she just came out saying she is a lesbian. No real surprise here. Good for her I hope she is happy.

I believe this too; many times when people get into trouble with spending they are trying to use things to make themselves feel better. You can't fully come to terms with debt or spending problems unless you tackle the other issues first.
