Dh and I for the past few years owe Uncle Sam for taxes. Last year his work didn't take out enough taxes and we owed $1400. So this year we've been dreading it again since we're chipping away at our equity line and wanted to put as much $ as we could on it. Anyway, dh was doing the taxes today and we're getting back...$5 Thousand dollars!!! 
Then when we bought our house over two years ago, apparently we were supposed to get a check for $150.00 from the title agency. We never did, but didn't realize that we were supposed to. This weekend we got a letter from the title agency saying they had a $150.00 check for us, we just had to verify that we didn't get the check in the first place (which we didn't). So we signed the letter and mailed it back and hopefully soon we're going to get a check for $150 too!
We already decided to put a good 3K on the equity line, go out to dinner, put a little in our own 'fun money' accounts (I'm using my fun $ for a Pump It Up party for ds for his birthday) and there you go!! Just thought I'd share.  |
