Can anyone suggest a good homemade stain remover. I read about one on the old, old board I think, but I can't remember exactly what it was. TIA.

I use plain ole' peroxide. Just make sure it is fresh..seems to work better that way. CHEAP trick, too!

Agreed! Watch out --it can bleach things out a bit tho.
I also really like dawn dish soap.

I have used a mixture of Cascade powder with Clorox 2 powder in hot water, let items soak over night and launder as normal with regular detergent.

I still swear by oxy. I will either soak my clothes in it overnight OR I put a little dishsoap on the stain then pour the oxy on, rub it around and let sit for a few hours. Then I wash it and it works pretty good. Walmart makes thier own version of oxy now that only costs $1.somthing. Its called Sun or soemthing like that.

I also think Zout works well -- it almost always gets out any stain

I LOVE cloreox stain out. It's the only thing that can get my stains out. But it's getting harder to find. Good too, at only 1.59 a bottle
